Contextualization
In Artifact 8, I address how I met with an outside expert, Katy Laine. Ms. Laine, an academic coach, has planned numerous community events in the past, including Publix math nights. She coached me through the planning process. She explained the set-up, who to contact, what supplies might be needed, and how to get outside support from community members and stakeholders. She also shared the templates of math problems that the K-5 students would use at the event. We communicated synchronously and virtually, using Microsoft Outlook and Teams. This criterion is highlighted in the video from 2:07 to 4:24.
